Van Harten Da Veiga is the dynamic duo comprised of singer-songwriter Jefferson da Veiga and producer DJ Gian van Harten. Known for their unique sound, they blend 80s Synth-pop, Deep House, Progressive House, R&B, Dancehall and World Music to create nostalgic yet contemporary dance tracks. Their music is a vibrant homage to past eras, infused with modern energy and global rhythms, making them stand out in today’s music scene.

Van Harten is known for his productions and mixes for numerous Dutch and international Hip-hop, R&B and Reggae artists such as Clyde Live, Mr. Wave (New York City Breakers), Jah Thunder and Fantan Mojah (Jamaica). Da Veiga, with his Cape Verdean roots, also tours the world as J Dias, bringing the African archipelago’s traditional Kizomba music to a global audience.

This summer, Van Harten Da Veiga will debut their single “No Guns,” featuring renowned Jamaican vocalist Busy Signal, known for his work with Major Lazer, and Ray Neiman (French Guyana). “No Guns” is a Big Room track with Amapiano and Dancehall influences, addressing the pressing issue of gun violence among inner-city youth.

Van Harten Da Veiga also aim to address topics not commonly explored in dance music, such as Da Veiga’s personal struggle with depression and broader social awareness issues. Their music not only entertains but also inspires and provokes thought on important social matters.
